Entrepreneurship story

My entrepreneurship story in fact is going on right now. Me and one of my friends who also attends UF, decided that we would start making and selling hate shirts for game days here in Gainesville and possibly game day polos as well. The t-shirts seem like they'll be easier and more profitable due to cheap production and hopefully a higher demand for something more unique. We're still in the early stages, but we plan to continue to move forward with our plan and hopefully be up and running shortly!

Secondly, the reason I chose to enroll in this course was to seek basic advice and gain general knowledge of an entrepreneurs mindset. A dream of mine would be to own my own business one day and be my own boss. As for now, there are many things I need to study and learn about the business world to prepare me to the absolute fullest for when the day comes that I enter the business world.

  1. Cool idea Ben! I like the fact that you're taking action now, knowing that you have a viable market at home games and that fact that the cost of entry is relatively low. We have the same goal for the future, being our own bosses. I'm excited to see how it all goes for you and putting in order for one your polos, they suit me better.

  2. Hey there Ben,
Your t-shirt business idea is actually genius, and you're literally in the perfect city to explore the business and its success. You could even expand to different campuses and have your other friends be reps for you! I'm glad we are in the same group because it seems like we have similar goals and reasons for taking this course. I'm excited for the future!

  3. You are off to a great start. Your business concept expresses true ingenuity. I also commenced my very own apparel company, so I can relate with all the work it takes to produce and to market your product. I am definitely going to purchase one of your hate shirts, for myself. Its refreshing to learn that I have like-minded individuals in the class group.
