My Customer avatar was pretty easy for me to make considering my clientele is very general at the moment. After preparing for our parking lot too open it was time to get the word out. With that being said, where better to announce an idea like this than our fraternity chapter meetings. Yes the avatar is a depiction of what looks like a fraternity guy. We're always trying to help each other out in all aspects of life, and when I mentioned my idea to them several members found this idea useful. We've already got 8 customers who've paid first months fee and all of them are members of the fraternity. Yes, we will diversify as times goes on and all sorts of clientele will flock to our lot. But for the time being, and for the assignment, this is the exact "customer avatar" that would make sense.
As far as my customers traits go we a lot in common (go figure). We all love sports, especially football. Most of them are big Game of Thrones fans. None of them are fathers yet, just about of college kids (19-23) who're enjoying the best years of their lives. But even though we have a lot in common, there is one thing that we couldn't relate more on and that is that we're broke. Surviving on a minimum wage and weekly allowance that keeps bread on the fridge top is the reason that we never hesitate to pass up on a deal that could or will save us money which is why they use our place to park and walk to school. I know this different than what most responses are going to be but this is 100% accurate at the moment
Great post Ben. I like that you’re already putting your ideas into work with the ones closest around you. I also think you’re on the right path with your customer avatar; with your primary clientele being your fraternity brothers you can now focus on getting all of them or even potentially brothers from other fraternities who would have reason to park there. Keep it up man.
ReplyDeleteGood Post! I was imagining the basic frat guy too for your business. You didn't mention if you thought you had anything in common with them. I liked all the ways you mentioned you guys are similar. You really broke it down well. Just like David said you should eventually branch out to other frats than yours and see if they can relate and the service it good for them too!
ReplyDeleteGreat depiction of your ideal avatar that would fit your proposal. I would have elaborated more about his life. Tell a story of when he was almost late to school by missing the bus for waking up too late. I would add on about the party he attended the night before and had a bit too much to drink. Your avatar is definitely a cleaner version of the stereotypical “frat-guy.”
